I enjoy coaching half marathon to 100 mile distance. I really like coaching athletes who are thinking about training for their first ultra marathon.
I started running in college as a way to keep in shape. My love of the run grew exponentially. I worked my way up the distance ladder from 5k to marathon and eventually to the ultra world. I have experience with the 50k, 50 mile, 100k, 100 mile and 200 mile distance. Over the years, I decided that I needed to be closer to the mountains I so loved to run. I relocated to beautiful Boulder, Colorado, where I frequently see and exercise with some of the best athletes in the country.
My ideal athletes are those who are motivated and excited to train for their first event - sharing the beauty of running and getting others hooked on it are the best part of the sport. I enjoy coaching any distance from half marathons to 100+mile races. I am well-versed in all aspects, from injury prevention to nutrition (both during the event to general diet and lifestyle recommendations for optimal performance).
I have a great deal of experience planning and training for through hikes, backpacking, fastpacking, FKTs and other self supported adventures!
