My name is Ken and I am focused on training masters athletes in a multitude of endurance sports. These sports include, but are not limited to triathlon, cycling, running and cross country skiing. I deliver the training online and am always open to questions and considerations.
I have been competing in endurance sports for close to 30 years. I enjoy training so much I have modeled my education around being able to work in this area as an occupation. I currently work as a college professor in the field of physical therapy and personal fitness training certification.
My undergraduate degree is in Physical Education (Coaching Major), I have a masters degree in Health, Physical Education and Recreation and I have a PhD in Rehabilitation Medicine.
Most importantly I am a masters athlete and understand the unique physiological nature of this age group. I have qualified for and competed in the World Ironman Championships on a couple of occasions (2015 and 2017 - but don't look up my result - that is a hard race!).
Athletes should have a great attitude. I would prefer power meters and heart rate monitors, but this is not essential.
