I am a certified personal trainer, health coach, strength & conditioning coach, and Ironman coach.
My name is Kelly Ann! I am originally from NC, but now reside in Texas with my husband, daughter (born Sept. 2021), and two dogs. My husband is an Apache pilot in the Army, so we find ourselves moving frequently.
Prior to coaching and competing in triathlons myself, I was a USA Swim Team member for multiple years, I was ranked top 100 in the world in the mile, and was top 5 in the country in Open Water. I was a Varsity captain and athlete on two sports teams (swimming & rowing) in college at The Ohio State University.
After retiring from swimming, I hiked the Appalachian Trail (2,189.1 miles) from Maine to Georgia by myself with my dog in the dead of winter from October-February.
Upon completing that adventure, I decided to take up triathlon and instantly fell in love with the sport and the people! I qualified in the Olympic Distance for Team USA, then qualified for Ironman 70.3 Worlds in my first race. Due to a little world pandemic...Worlds was postponed, so my husband and I decided to have our first child (our daughter) and then the following year, I would compete in 70.3 Worlds (2022).
I am now training myself for high performance goals in the sport of triathlon, as well as coaching other incredible athletes towards their goals as well. I primarily coach remotely, but if an athlete is located in the same area, I love to meet up for in-person sessions.
I am a "No-bullshit" kind of coach that will work with you to meet your abilities, but also hold you accountable.
