Professional trail and ultra runner.
I took to the trails in 2019 and have since gone on to the podium at Ultra-Trail Snowdonia (2023-2025), the Arc of Attrition (2025-26), the British Trail Running Championships (2022) and the Elite OMM (2023).
In 2025, I qualified for the Long Trail squad to represent Britain at the World Mountain and Trail Running Championships in Canfranc, Spain.
Originally from Scotland, I have adopted the Yorkshire Dales as my second home.
I have competed across all distances, from short fell races to 200+ miles (Race Across Scotland 2022)
I have also run on the roads to a high standard - 2hr 26m Marathon PB (Seville, 2024).
I began coaching in 2025 and my athletes have gone on to achieve everything from Sub 3hr marathons to Fastest Known Times for a double West Highland Way (~200 miles).
My coaching focuses on three key principles; consistency, progression and modulation.
Consistency. We will build a training plan that fits around your work, family and other commitments. We will discuss the best times for you to train, your access to training environments (hills, mountains, trails, roads, treadmills etc), and your ability and desire to cross train (gym, bike etc). This helps to maximise the time you have available to train and build consistency overtime.
Progression. My training meets you where you are but overtime will progress in volume and intensity in order to improve your fitness further.
Modulation. This means that harder work is followed by easier work and then repeated. This can be viewed day-to-day or month-to-month. Rest is essential to growth. We do not improve fitness through hard work alone, but by ensuring the body has easier periods to absorb that stimulus.
