Kat is part of the official 4 person Challenge Tri Camp coaching setup. She has vast experience working with a wide range of abilities from beginners right through to guiding athletes to competing at top level age group racing in major championships. Kat excels in the swim, having competed nationally before finding and falling in love with triathlon. All her training plans are bespoke, created based on your data obtained from regular testing and racing, and adapting to meet your lifestyle needs.
With a background in competitive swimming I took up triathlon after 'retiring' from swimming, quickly found a new passion and the move into coaching was a natural progression from there. I have BTF, IronMan and PT qualifications, and I am studying for a post-grad diploma in sports nutrition.
I strongly believe in full communication with my clients, so I don't limit contact time. I insist on feedback to best get to understand my athletes and really tailor programs to individuals. I have competed at GB age group level every year I've been in triathlon, on top of working full time, so I understand how hard it is to juggle life and training. As a result I fit my plans to each individual's available time, goals and circumstance, so no two plans are ever the same. I also like to think that while the coaching is remote, this frequent contact means you never feel like you are completely training alone.
I have experience of training and racing for over 20 years now and I've been through it all myself - wondering how to fit training for 3 sports in, working out what kit to buy when their are 10 makes of each item you want, the nerves before race day, the feeling of being like a fish out of water in transition the first time and the great feeling you get crossing the finish line.
I have a great passion for helping people improve and achieve their goals, but importantly, I want my athletes to enjoy the process of getting there. Whatever your goal, I want to help you achieve it
