As these qualities improve, the plan is altered to apply the correct overload and strategic recovery to achieve "your" maximal compensation. Being a mechanical engineer, my approach is more technical, with more testing. Engineers love data; test data, heart rate data, power meter data, race result data, and even perceived effort data. Armed with this data, you and I can make adjustments to your training plan to maximize your performance gains.
