I am a Cycling Coach and Sports Scientist. I have been working as a coach for amateurs and professional cyclists (road and off-road) with many achievements from regional to world class level. Part of my experience as a coach includes working with European junior cycling teams, where I developed talented athletes who achieved their positions in the higher categories, and a position as the Head Sports Scientist for the Italian Cycling Federation.
4th Level Cycling Coach UCI; European PhD in Basic and Applied Medical Science from the Gabriele D'Annunzio University (Italy); Master degree in Physical Education from the Londrina State University (Brazil); and Bachelor in Sport Sciences from the State University of Campinas (FEF-UNICAMP, Brazil). Internship in the School of Sport and Exercise Sciences - Kent University (UK). Former Head Sports Scientist of the Italian Cycling Federation (FCI).
I am a researcher, sports scientist, and cycling coach who have been working with high-level endurance sports over the last 15 years, mainly with high-level cyclists. In these years, I developed my proficiency in: (1) training periodisation in theoretical and applied level; (2) testing and interpreting athletes’ data; (3) monitoring and controlling internal and external training load; (4) researching in the university and in the field; (5) transferring and using the sports science knowledge in the practical environment; (6) searching, reading and interpreting scientific articles; (7) performing statistical analysis and managing software; (8) learning and using new hardware and software often applied in laboratory and field (e.g. lactate and gas analyzers, ergometers).
