Jim Vance coaches Olympians, Kona qualifiers, All-Americans, National Champions and elite-minded athletes, who are serious about their goals and working hard toward them. He has coached these athletes in triathlon, swimming, running and cycling. Bio

Jim is an elite coach, & former elite triathlete, for TrainingBible Coaching. Jim holds a BS in Physical and Health Education, K-12, from the University of Nebraska, where he ran track and cross country. He was a school teacher for 6 years, is a Level 2 Certified Coach for USA Triathlon, hosting many clinics, talks, camps and other events. Jim also is the founder and head coach of Formula Endurance, one of the nation's best USA Triathlon High Performance Teams.

Jim has spent time at the US Olympic Training Center, training under the guidance of the National Team Coaching Staff, as well as seen success with two World Championship titles as an amateur, in both XTERRA and ITU. His range of performances even stretch to Ironman, where he finished 3rd at the 2006 Ironman Florida, in a time of 8:37:09.

Jim is the author of Triathlon 2.0 - Data Driven Performance Training and Run With Power, the leading books on how to train for long course triathlon and running with power meters. Jim also co-edited Triathlon Science with Joe Friel, and uses his knowledge of the sport, training theory, and education with his teaching experience to be a high performance coach.
