Endurance sports coach based in Costa Rica. Works with athletes of all levels, across multiple disciplines and ages to create training programs aimed at achieving each athlete's personal objectives. Especialices on MTB and Road cycling.
I am a Level II Cycling Coach certified by the Costa Rican Cycling Federation (FECOCI) as well as a Level 1 USA Cycling Coach. I've been coaching since 2010 and over the past 10 years I've worked with over 200 athletes from juniors to masters with a wide range of skills from professionals to weekend warriors across most cycling disciplines from road to downhill.
I am still a very active and competitive rider, mostly an endurance mountain biker now, but over the years I have gotten experience in many cycling disciplines including: road, mtb and enduro and their own sub-disciplines. I was a professional cyclist from 2009 to 2016, the first of those years while living in Arizona, USA and the rest in Costa Rica, where I am originally from. I transitioned to racing Masters in 2017 and focusing most of my time to coaching.
Over the years I have guided athletes to successfully reach their goals at events like: Cape Epic, La Ruta de los Conquistadores, Panamerican Junior Downhill Championships, New York Grand Fondo, Breck Epic, Baja Epic, Volcano 100, Trans Costa Rica, Guanaride, 12 and 24 Hour events, Junior and Masters National Championships, Iditarod Trail Invitational and The Mule Trail bikepacking race among others.
