Jason brings with him over 25 years of running experience, from the Junior Olympic ranks through college and the Army. He is also currently an assistant coach for the UNC Asheville Cross Country and Track and Field programs. Whether you’re an experienced runner looking to crush some PR’s, or just need helping learning to run consistently and pain/injury free, Jason is ready to help!
Jason is all about Sustainability and Happiness, and is focused on spreading the Joy of Running!! He is an Evidence and Experience based Coach who designs programs and workouts through a highly individualized process. While keeping up to date on all the latest science and modern coaching theories, Jason focuses heavily on ENJOYING THE PROCESS. Progress is all about CONSISTENCY OVER TIME, and if you don't Enjoy what you're doing, then it's not SUSTAINABLE!!!
Jason's top priorities as a coach include Injury Prevention, Recovery (Recovery is a skill), and making sure that athletes understand their varying PACES in connection to the energy systems and muscle fibers that they are attempting to train!
