Islam Sallam—Full time personal trainer, endurance coach and triathlete based in Doha, ASICS FrontRunner Qatar team Captain. I’m the GM and co-founder of Qatar Ultra Runners and race director of the 90 km Qatar East to West Ultramarathon. Former accountant turned coach, I’ve guided runners and triathletes since 2019, with a focus on efficient, sustainable training. I’ve raced five IRONMAN 70.3 events. Hi, I’m Islam—a full-time coach (and ex-accountant) who swapped spreadsheets for Strava in 2019. I specialize in Strength & Conditioning and endurance sports—running, triathlon, and everything sweaty in between—helping athletes of all levels train smarter, stay healthy, and perform when it counts. I co-founded Qatar Ultra Runners and created the Qatar East to West Ultramarathon, the country’s first—and longest—90 km race. As race director since 2017, I’ve welcomed 1,500 runners in 2024 and learned exactly what successful racing demands. I’m the ASICS FrontRunner Qatar Team Captain and an active athlete myself: five IRONMAN 70.3 finishes and marathons in Paris (2024) and Sevilla (2025).

My approach is practical, human, and data-informed: personalized TrainingPeaks plans, purposeful sessions, S&C to build durability, and simple nutrition/hydration habits. Having overcome early injuries, I emphasize technique, mobility, and progressive loading to keep you consistent. Whether your goal is a first 5K, a 70.3 PR, or an ultramarathon, I’ll help you balance training with life, avoid junk miles, and arrive confident on race day.
