I have been involved in endurance sports for over 35 years. I competed in my first triathlon in 1984 and continue to compete today. I have raced all the big events including the Boston Marathon and the Ironman World Championships. I have coached hundreds of athletes from beginner to elite. I enjoy working with any athlete who has the passion and motivation to be their ultimate best. Coaching services include custom individual training plans for running, cycling and triathlon.

I have always been a coach or instructor. From a young age as a lifeguard and swim instructor, I have lead and coached. I began coaching formally in 1998 after racing a few years as an elite triathlete. Initially, my focus was with high performance elite athletes, however that changed to a broader base of clients as I realized I loved coaching anyone who had the desire, motivation, dedication and passion to want to be better at performing. I am a student of the sport as I continue to compete, but love sharing my passion and knowledge with the beginner athlete or the elite high performer. In my eyes there is little difference as the desire to excel is usually the same.

Very beneficial to have a heart rate monitor, pacing watch and cycling computer. I am not huge on data analytics but do use heart rate monitor to control effort levels in running.
