I believe it is very important to have a work/life balance when training. I am a wife and mother of 3 children and still find the time to train appropriately to prepare for a race. Life is about flexibility and balance. I will spend time getting to know the athlete and understand their needs and goals and I will work with them to figure out how to make it work within their environment.
As a mechanical engineer turned USAC, Ironman, and Pilates reformer certified coach (and also mom of 3), I work to balance the art and science of multi-sport training in a way that focuses on life balance and "wholistic" or complete health and fitness. My background as an engineer keeps me focused on the data while an understanding of relationships keep me listening to my athletes to help them find the balance that serves them. At the end of the day I am on a mission to help people who see them selves as "normal" realize they are capable of accomplishing amazing things. They just need to realize what is holding them back and choose to claim who they want to become. We all can do epic stuff if we just say yes to something we are afraid of =)
