A successful, healthy, balanced triathlete requires intentionality in the practice of triathlon and in life. As a NASM Certified Person Trainer, and over 10 years of competing in triathlons including 2 Ironmans, I understand and address key needs of the whole athlete with periodized training, essential strength training, triathlon/family/work balance, with regular healthy doses of encouragement and honest feedback.
When I completed my first triathlon in my late 30's, something awakened inside of me! Triathlon provided the opportunity to challenge myself with goals that took me out of my comfort zone, embrace a healthy active lifestyle, and enjoy the company of others doing the same. I have competed in multiple half distance triathlons and half marathons, 2 Ironmans and 2 marathons, dozens of sprint and international distance triathlons, and am passionate about helping others develop into successful triathletes. Having been married to a really good man for over 25 years, with 3 amazing young adult children (and a dog and a cat!), actively involved in my local church and community, I value time management and intentional training sessions that allow the athlete to develop strength and endurance without overtraining and to still have enough time and energy for the other important things in life. Triathlon specific strength training for improved performance and injury prevention is included in my triathlon training plans.

I love working with athletes who are willing to set goals that are both challenging and realistic, who are disciplined to stick to the plan yet flexible when life happens.
