I offer one-to-one triathlon coaching for all disciplines, from sprint to long distance, remotely or face-to-face for locally based athletes. I am passionate about helping people with their goals, whether it is to complete their first race or to qualify for their country at age group level.

My facilities allow me to offer swim analysis, gait analysis and performance tests to gauge training zones. There is also accommodation locally for athletes planning a short training camp.

I am a British Triathlon Level 3 coach and MSc Sport (Coaching) who has over 20yrs experience in coaching adults and juniors, initially in outdoor education and for the past 10 years triathlon. I run my triathlon business from my farm where I farm sheep. The farm has a 5k cross country trail where races are regularly held, and a farm building has been converted into a performance suite, where there is a High Performance Endless Pool, treadmill and smart bike trainer.

I am a strong believer in the coach athlete relationship and encourage collaboration with my athletes. Communication is key for a successful relationship, and I am lucky to have worked with many of my athletes for 2+ years. Structured individualised training plans, taking into account family and professional commitments are written weekly, alongside a macro plan that outlines the 'big view' leading to the goal race.

The training plans include strength and mobility workouts, so, not only does the athlete become fitter, but also stronger and more mobile too. This holistic approach is popular with my athletes, who are able to recover quicker.

Previous coached athletes have included complete novices, juniors entering performance academies, seniors who represent their country at age group level and European Age Group champions.

My lifetime of coaching various sports to different age groups has given me key skills to get the best out of my athletes, many whose achievements often far exceed their expectations.
