Ian rode his first century at age 11 and hasn’t stopped pedaling since. The search for the next adventure on the bike led him to ride from Montreal to Boston twice, and from Burlington, VT to Portland, ME three times. In 2012, Ian fell in love with the challenge and intensity of cyclocross, but his true love lies in the joy and introspective suffering of pointing a bike uphill. As such, Ian's heart will always belong to the grueling test of man, machine, and mountain at the Mt. Washington hill climb.
Through his years as a competitive athlete, Ian has grown ever more interested in learning about the technical side of training, growing stronger on the bike and honing his coaching skills to help you rise to your next challenge (whatever that might be!).
As a member of Bell Lap Coaching's in-house staff, Ian brings his fervor for learning and his drive to stay current on the latest in sports science.His thoughtful, data-driven process focuses on an individualized approach to training using detailed analysis with WKO4, resulting in training plans that are tailored to meet your specific needs and abilities
When he's not on the bike, Ian can most likely be found looking for moose, cappuccino in hand.
