I am certified USA Track & Field, Road Runner Club of America, USA Triathlon and National Academy of Sports Medicine Personal Trainer. Since 2004, I have helped athletes of all ages & abilities with running from sprints to Ultramarathon distance and triathletes for sprint to 70.3 events. I provide personalized training plans and coaching services based on your level of fitness, time availability to train, and race day goals.
I was a swimmer in my youth but started running as an adult when I certified as a soccer referee. My training focuses on getting you time at Lactate Threshold, regardless of race distance or discipline (for Triathletes). Longer, easy level of effort workouts will include portions at race day level of effort for your upcoming event. I have used pace, HRM, and power meter (for bike or run) as indicators of level of effort. My athletes have been successful with training that introduces faster speed/pace work early in the training while building aerobic conditioning with increased volume and frequency week over week.
My NASM credential allows me to I include flexibility and core strength workouts for all athletes. Flexibility minimizes the incidents of soft tissue injury and core strength training helps you hold form in the later stages of the race.
