I’m a TrainingPeaks Level 1 Coach and age-group triathlete. I understand the time-pressed athlete and focus on helping everyday people achieve extraordinary goals through structured, balanced, and motivating coaching — from first-time finishers to those chasing their PB.
I started my triathlon journey as a regular age-group athlete and, through consistent effort and passion for endurance sport, became somewhat competitive nationally and internationally. I’ve achieved multiple Age Group wins, including Ironman South Africa, several Ironman 70.3 events, 5i50 races, and the South African Standard Distance Championships. A highlight of my career was qualifying for and racing at the Ironman World Championships in Kona, an experience that continues to shape my approach to performance and coaching.
Beyond triathlon, I’m an all-round endurance athlete, having completed the Comrades Marathon, swum from Robben Island, and taken part in numerous road and mountain biking events such as the Cape Town Cycle Tour, Sani2C, Wine2Whales, and Trans Baviaans.
As part of Team Tissink Triathlon, lead by Raynard Tissink, one of the world’s most accomplished Ironman athletes and his wife Natalie. I assist the team with group training sessions in Gauteng, South Africa, and coach beginner to intermediate athletes (South African and International athletes) through personalized TrainingPeaks programs.
My coaching philosophy is built on consistency, balance, and smart progression, helping athletes fit training into busy lives, maintain joy in the process, targeting meaningful goals, whether finishing strong or pushing their limits.
