Grant is a cycling coach with more than ten years of experience in road endurance, gravel events and power training. His approach mixes clear, data-driven insight with a calm, empathetic understanding of how athletes live, train and recover.

Now part of the BaseCamp coaching team, he helps riders build sustainable progress through clarity, balance and consistently supportive guidance.

Grant is a coach with over a decade of cycling experience encompassing road endurance, gravel events and structured indoor power training, and he is proud to be part of the BaseCamp coaching team. He works best with riders who value clarity, confidence and training that fits with their life rather than competes with it. Drawn to BaseCamp’s belief that athletes thrive when expert guidance, community and smart programming converge, Grant helps riders understand the “why” behind their workouts, feel fully supported and make steady, meaningful progress.

His coaching blends data-informed insight, including power output analysis, fatigue and readiness trends from tools such as TrainingPeaks and WKO5, with a calm, empathetic style focused on the whole athlete. He specialises in turning complex performance data into simple, actionable steps that build strength, confidence and long-term durability. Grant understands the demands of busy schedules, shifting energy levels and life outside the bike, and he communicates in a steady, supportive way so athletes always feel heard and guided. Whether preparing for a major endurance ride or simply wanting to ride stronger and feel better, he delivers structure, balance and reassurance. Outside of coaching you’ll find him exploring new roads, savouring a strong coffee and planning his next adventure.
