I am passionate about the sport of running and how it can be used to find strength, focus, balance, and pride. As your coach I will become your ideal sidekick. I’ll give you weekly plans which we can update on the fly, help you reach goals and prevent injuries, send you articles and videos to help you improve, give you a kick when you need it and “kudos” along the way, and most importantly help you fall in love with the sport. Make your goals lofty, because we are going to chase them down.
I am a running coach to help inspire runners to reach their big hairy audacious goals (BHAGs). This sport is what I have spent years practicing, researching and testing workout plans to create my own theories on what creates improvement, what causes injuries, and how to teach the mental side of the sport. I specialize in coaching the 10k-Marathon discipline. In fact, 100% of my clients trying to qualify for the Boston Marathon have succeeded.
I have my own BHAGs I'm working towards. Throughout 2019, I wanted to qualify for the US Olympic Marathon Trials and I ran my tail off in preparation. The culmination of my efforts came to life on December 8th in Sacramento, where I ran a 2:18 marathon to qualify. After a few weeks off to reset, my new BHAG became apparent: I wanted to place in the top 100 at the Trials. I finished 67th. Currently, my 2020 goals are to run a sub 30 minute 10k and a 2:14:59 marathon, and I'd like to be top 20 in the 2024 US Olympic Marathon Trials.
