Tom is an active sportsman having participated in multiple sports, with rugby being his main focus until age and injury forced him to stop playing.

Since then Tom has discovered his real passion for endurance events and challenges combining these with travel around the world. He has completed a number of Ironman 70.3s, Full Ironman, as well as cycling, running and kayaking his way across Scotland in under 12 hours.

His love for cycling he has seen him undertake the Cent Cols challenge cycling 100 cols, 1,800km, 42,000m ascent in the Northern Alps over 10 days, Everesting twice and completing Taiwan KOM to name a few.

Recent success has seen him qualify for both Ironman 70.3 and UCI Cycling World Championships.

Tom has a long suffering and understanding wife, with one son who he hopes will be able to run and cycle faster than him (with his help).

Tom is a qualified Ironman Coach and is currently undergoing ABCC (Association of British Cycling Coaches) Level 3.
