EDOsports is a coaching company run by former pro triathlete Edo van der Meer. Athletes of all levels are taken seriously about there fitness goals, be it your first mini triathlon, a marathon PB or fine tuning your Ironman preparation.

We will guide you with a lot of enthusiasm, a highly individual approach and close commitment. We make a plan together and we’ll do almost anything to get you ready for your sporting highlight of the year.


Coaching by EDOsports comes from 2 very different coaches. Both are professional triathletes with an education in sport science, but that's as far as the comparison goes.

Sarissa de Vries (2nd PRO at IRONMAN Maastricht in 2016) is the sport scientist, carefully planning every step of the way and always doubting the current training methods. You better make sure you follow her plan strictly, or she will kick your butt!

Edo van der Meer is the more practical trainer, always in for a crazy sports adventure or plan. Your commuting might just become a whole lot more intense and be prepared to suffer during some of your sessions. Although fun is assured, don’t worry about the masterplan behind it all, he will…

Being in the sport for many years gave us a lot of experience. From junior level, trough ITU racing to IRONMAN, we’ve been there. We know the doubts & fears, made most of the mistakes and handled the disappointments.

Besides a master is sport science, Sarissa also completed the regular coaching courses from the national federation.
Edo is one of highest qualified triathlon coaches in the Netherlands, finishing the highest triathlon coaching course there is.

We are both too young to have a fixed approach towards training, we don’t have standard schedules and we don’t believe in 1 specific way of training. We’ll search for your weaknesses and opportunities for improvement and work on those, not neglecting your strengths that set you apart as an athlete.
