Dunn Athlete Development works with competitive age‑groupers and beginner triathletes who want purposeful, structured, and educational training. I coach athletes who value learning the “why,” commit to consistent progress, and want to enjoy the process while chasing meaningful performance goals.
I am an endurance and triathlon coach who blends technical expertise with real athletic experience to help athletes train with purpose. I specialize in guiding competitive age‑groupers and motivated beginners through structured, intentional training built on clarity, communication, and long‑term progression.
My coaching approach is rooted in education. I believe athletes perform best when they understand the “why” behind their training. I have a bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology from Michigan State University, and a strong background in endurance physiology, training load management, and multisport development, which has taught me how to translate complex concepts into practical, actionable guidance. I teach my athletes how to pace intelligently, build durability, and train with consistency, all while maintaining balance and enjoyment in the process.
As an athlete himself, I compete in age-group and collegiate triathlon with Michigan State University and bring firsthand insight into the demands of the sport. I believe my experience training and racing at a high level allows me to connect deeply with the challenges athletes face, from mastering three disciplines to navigating fatigue, motivation, and race‑day execution. This dual perspective has shaped my ability to design training that is both effective and realistic.
