Thanks for being here!
I am a cycling coach focused on working with athletes in all Road (Road Race, TT, & Criteriums), Track, Cyclocross, and Gravel disciplines of the sport. My priorities are outside the realm of just building training plans. More importantly, the riding skills, racing tactics, bike handling, and balance with other aspects of life on a whole are what produce effective and skilled bike riders. It's about building towards what is sustainable, not just what is attainable.
I have experience racing all the aforementioned disciplines of cycling at a World level. After picking up road riding and racing at the age of 24, I progressed to a domestic professional level and had the opportunity to race around the world. Racing cyclocross in the fall and winter also led to National and World level competition. Since becoming a Coach, I have had the pleasure of working with National Champion and World Champion athletes across multiple disciplines.
My goal when working with an individual is to provide the best possible coaching in addition to and even beyond a calendar and training plan. Most higher-level riders know enough or are able to access the resources surrounding best practices with what general types of efforts to focus on, periodization, recovery, etc. So what tends to produce the best bike riders and especially bike racers are the myriad of nuanced progressions that can be made outside of a simple training calendar. For a set of examples, if a rider is choosing to prioritize Pursuits on the Track, the necessity becomes a detailed understanding of pacing, aerodynamics, and minute differences in cadence and gearing in rapid succession. On the other hand, a Cyclocross racer is best served by learning how to start at a ballistic pace and understand how much bike handling and specific body movements will constantly need to be assessed and reassessed around a given 'Cross course.
Simply put, purpose-driven improvements on the bike and off.
