Derrick found his passion for running in his mid-twenties, long after most athletes ran through high school and college. However, the sport quickly became an obsession leading him to 605 Running Company and extensive training of his own. His efforts have led him to 2nd place at the 2021 Brookings Marathon and 18th overall at the 2021 Twin Cities Marathon. Coach Derrick will partner with any athlete, from first-time runners to seasoned road runners looking to take the next step. His unorthodox journey into running makes him a perfect fit for runners of all types. Coach Derrick will meet you where you are and help you safely reach all of your running goals.
