Dave is dedicated to high performance triathlon and endurance sport coaching. Dave works with athletes of all abilities -first-time to elite- competing in distances from sprint to full Ironman, as well as Xterra. Dave is an expert in swimming analysis, and prides himself on his ability to work with athletes of all levels - whether remote or local.
Dave's goal is to provide athletes with the best coaching and instruction - ensuring the highest possible performance and improvement.
Dave Burgess has been involved in the triathlon and endurance sports community since 2000. As a competitive swimmer growing up, he competed at the club, high school, and collegiate level. He then became a triathlete and has numerous age-group wins, top ten finishes, and an overall race win to his credit.
Dave works with athletes of all levels - first-time to elite - competing in distances from sprint triathlons to full Ironman distance events. No matter what level of athlete he works with, Dave provides the same quality training and attention to detail. His goal is to ensure that performance limiters are identified and remediated, and existing strengths are developed and enhanced.
Dave has had great success over the past few seasons, with an age-group champion at Xterra National Championships in 2015, and an age-group world champion at Xterra World Championships. He has also assisted numerous individuals to PR's in all distances.
Dave is a regular webinar presenter, and Performance Coaching Newsletter content provider, for USA Triathlon. Dave is also a presenter and instructor for US Masters Swimming coaching clinics, and is a mentor coach for USA Triathlon
Dave is a USA Triathlon Level 2 coach and also holds USA Swimming, ASCA, and US Masters Swimming Level 3 coaching licenses.
