Average endurance athlete
For the past 10 years I have dedicated myself to understanding how best to improve endurance sporting performance. At Bangor University I earned a degree in Sports Science whilst I fell in love with the sport of Road Cycling, and it was here I took my first steps into racing and the never ending road to physical improvement. I then moved on to Leeds Metropolitan University to gain my MSc in Sport and Exercise Physiology. After university I have dabbled in everything from bike racing, triathlon and running, continued to improve my performance whilst working out what worked and didn’t work. I became a British Cycling Level 2 Coach. Through this I coached at a number of levels from five year olds to training a Master's National Champion, honing my skills and techniques to help riders get the most out of their endurance sport capabilities.
I then went on to become a qualified Personal Trainer. Spending time working with individuals with very different goals to us endurance athletes, such as bodybuilders and weightlifters I gained some useful tools to help endurance athletes develop their performances.
