Former professional triathlete turned cyclist, turned triathlete again; this time for fun.
Happy to coach athletes of all levels, everyone can improve with a structured training plan.
Training and competing aside, I have a degree in Sports Rehabilitation, coach a multitude of athletes (from beginner to pro) in Strength and Conditioning, Cycling and Triathlon.
I made many mistakes as an athlete (still learning something with every race) and I take pride in helping others avoid the same mistakes I made.
I appreciate, for most, life outside of training/racing is just as important so it's vital to find a balance.
There are no stupid questions! I want my athletes to understand why we are doing something and help them grow as individuals; really! Coaching is a two way process and feedback from you helps us get it right.
I've helped athletes improve by:
Improving their 5k PB
Ensuring readiness and pacing for multi-day cycling events at altitude
Completing and breaking their PB for Sprint distance Tri up to Ironman Tri
Developing their FTP and setting pacing for events from 50Km up to 330Km
Optimising feeding strategy and race nutrition
Managing and rehabilitating various injuries (1-1 coaching required for this)
Improve mobility and functional strength for swimming, cycling, running & everyday life to meet the demands outside of training.
Recently I've completed the Mallorca 312, 6 hour mtb races, off-road triathlons, The 3 Peaks Cyclocross and 60 Min MTB races; some of which I made it to the podium, some I simply raced to the best of my ability.
I am able to work with both heart rate and power meters, FIRMLY believing (from personal experience) that power meters mean super accurate training on the bike.
All plans are tailored to best suit your lifestyle and training goals.
