I am motivated to help both beginners and top athletes reach their goals and dreams.
My name is Sverre Dyngeland Vik, I am from Bergen in Norway.
I have previously been a cyclist at national level in Norway and Belgium. When I stopped being an active cyclist in 2017, I went directly to being a coach for the junior team in the local cycling teaOver the years I have worked with everything from beginners to cyclists who are on the UCI World Tour.
I also have experience from being a sports director in a cycling team, as I have been a sports director in one of Norway's best club teams at elite level in 2021-2022. From next year I will be sports director in the Norwegian Continental Team: Team Coop - Repsol.
I have the Topptrener 2 education through Olympiatoppen. Olympiatoppen (OLT) is part of the Norwegian Olympic and Paralympic committee and Confederation of Sports (NIF) and has responsibility and authority for developing Norwegian elite sports. I have also taken a bachelor's degree in public health with a focus on exercise and diet.
I do not follow any particular training philosophy, I adapt more to the athlete's needs, goals and wishes.
But when training cyclists at a top national or international level, the training is planned very carefully and in detail based on the needs of the athlete.I train athletes with and without power meters. It is desirable to use heart rate monitors.
