In my professional role I primarily coach elite athletes, however I also work with amateurs and those aspiring to reach elite levels. I’ve successfully guided athletes to complete their first triathlons, finish 70.3 and Ironman races, and achieve podium finishes at domestic and international events.
With extensive experience in junior development, I’ve managed a local club and the national academy, and I’ve coached GB age group representatives across nearly all age categories.
I am currently the lead coach at the National Triathlon Centre in Scotland and head coach for British Elite Triathlon Teams at international races and championships, and led the Scottish team at the 2022 Commonwealth Games. With 14 years of coaching experience, I’ve progressed from a junior assistant to leading international teams.
Based in Glasgow and working full-time in Stirling, I coach athletes both remotely and in person. My experience spans all levels of the sport. I’ve coached GB age group representatives, medallists at senior Scottish and British Championships, guided professional athletes to podiums, and led athletes to multiple 70.3 age group victories and Ironman finishes. I'm most motivated by those who embrace challenges and are committed to improvement.
Passionate about sport and development, I have self-funded a master’s degree in Performance Coaching, which I’m due to complete this year. Additionally, I’m a Chartered High Performance Coach through CIMSPA.
Though my background is in cycling and running, I’ve spent on average 8 hours a week poolside coaching over the past decade. I’ve coached cyclists to national podiums, runners to top UK rankings, and ultra runners to numerous podium finishes.
I have also coached athletes to international representation in aquathlon and duathlon as well as at international Xterra races, including the European and World Championships.
