Crystal Anthony brings a wide range of experiences as an athlete, a coach, and an educator. She holds a BS from Gordon College in Kinesiology and an M.Ed. from Harvard University in Human Development and Psychology. She offers a variety of coaching packages for different needs and budgets, and also will be leading clinics and training weekends that combine learning mountain bike skills with learning to prepare recipes that taste good while also fueling the body well.
Since 2004, Crystal has coached cross-country and marathon running as well as various disciplines in cycling. She has worked with athletes of all ages, teaching youth cycling programs, coaching college teams, mentoring local women’s teams, leading cyclocross and mountain bike clinics for both children and adults, and coaching individual athletes in both running and cycling. Additionally, she worked as a college health educator, creating a website of resources; educating athletic teams on macronutrient goals, training and race fueling, and general meal planning; one-on-one consulting regarding diet and exercise habits; designing and leading cooking classes. She is an avid cook and baker herself and publishes original recipes using whole foods and appropriate macronutrient content. As an athlete, Crystal missed the Olympic Trials for the marathon by 16 seconds and raced as a pro triathlete in the half Ironman distance before finding her current passion as a cyclocross racer. She is a 3-time Cyclocross World Championship team member, has extensive experience racing cyclocross in Europe. She also loves racing cross-country and marathon mountain bikes, enduro, and has competed in several mountain bike stage races. She has raced in 11 countries and counting and currently races for Liv Cyling. Crystal grew up in Beverly, Massachusetts with 6 younger siblings, many of who also race bikes! She loves exploring and discovering new trails, and experimenting with new recipes.
