At Craven Complete, we feel the level that received least appropriate support is the Novice and intermediate level. if you feel you more than just pure sessions; and are looking at structure - balance - and skill sets, we put them into your programme.
We also consider nutrition with strength/conditioning so that you get the complete programme and event-preparation that you can get.
I am a level 3 triathlon coach, level 3 personal trainer and physiotherapist. I put all these principles into my plan and programme writing.
My Basic ethos for coaching is technique - endurance - performance.
What I mean by this is that poor technique wastes energy and is inefficient; so by improving this, you well get further with less effort.
Once efficient, endurance can develop which will support your style. This effectively means you get better at covering the distance in the most efficient way.
The final part is performance where by speed and power can be introduced into training.
Whilst performance may not be important to the novice (as finishing is the goal) and only beginning to be important to the intermediate athlete (wanting to jump up a few places); it does help when the course becomes more challenging.
This covers the core discipline(s) for an event; however adding to this, 'marginal gains' can make huge differences when considering the event globally. Aspects such as nutrition and strength / conditioning become important factors which can help improve performance and, at times, stop someone from finishing.
We also consider race preparation; where by we look at the event, its logistics and prep needed; so that the individual will be fully prepared. No silly questions as if you don't know the answer, we will help.
