Corey Hart, PhD is well-known in the competitive cycling world as one of the top training consultants in the United States for professional and development endurance athletes. Hart received his undergraduate and master’s degree in Exercise Science at Colorado State University (CSU) and his PhD at the University of Utah. He was a sport science consultant for USA Cycling from 2003-2011 and developed the power-based field testing protocol used for talent identification. Dr. Hart was also the team physiologist and assistant director for Slipstream Sports development program from 2011-2012. Dr. Hart has worked with amateur and pro athletes in the sports of cycling, triathlon, running, Taekwondo, and Nordic skiing. Over the past 10 years, his professional cyclists have accumulated over 50 UCI wins (150+ podiums), 8 World Tour wins (16 podiums), 19 national championships (28 podiums) 3 Pan Am championships, and 2 world championships (5 podiums). Dr. Hart's research has focused on oxygen transport and utilization in the context of aging and disease, metabolic factors influencing adaptations to exercise, and human performance.
