I have been a student, fan and active participant of endurance sports for 35years.
As a master’s athlete that has spent the last 13 years juggling the competing demands of work family and training, I have picked up a few tips as to how best walk the narrow path to success (in all three facets) and I am keen share this knowledge with you.
Cool Cat focuses on creating training plans that work for you, fitting in with complex schedules and life commitments. Our aim is to create a personalised plan that that bring satisfaction and enthusiasm to your training and not guilt, tension and dread.
Cool Cat places a premium on getting the basics right, we focus on making sure our athletes are executing the 98% well rather than fixating on the latest marginal gains and training gimmicks. For us the basics are good planning, hard work and being consistent over a long period of time.
While always being a big fan of distance running it was only recently that I caught the running bug. I have recently developed a strong interest in combining running and cycling in masters athletes to maximise performance in both disciplines and minimise running induced injury.
I take my own training as seriously as I take my clients, I have been an active club level cyclist since I was 11 and having represented South Australia at junior national championships as well as more recently winning and podiuming in top level local racing as well as state and national level competitions.
