I specialise in trail and ultra running for beginner to intermediate athletes. What inspires me as a coach are the physical and mental challenges the non-elite face just getting to the start line. My mission statement is simple: Impossible is nothing.
Having once been ‘that runner’, toeing the start line of my first 50k with ALL the gear (and no idea), I offer a wealth of hands-on experience alongside principles from my background as a massage therapist, strength coach and sport scientist.
As a parent working a busy week, I understand the struggle of juggling daily/weekly chores, family time, training and rest - 90% of people will answer ‘no time’ when quizzed about why they’re not training on a given day/week. My coaching ethos is to therefore provide you with time-efficient training plans with the aim of optimum, goal orientated performance.
As a fitness industry professional with 10 years experience, I began my career as a sports massage therapist patching up athletes at various events prior to a stint within the UCI Downhill World Cup circuit working with Trek Factory/Atherton Racing. Having gained a front row seat at a world class level, it was here I knew that coaching was for me!
Since qualifying as a strength and conditioning coach, I’ve worked with personal training clients on a weight loss mission through to weekend warriors chasing their next PB. My passion is helping people successfully combine their thirst for challenge with family-life and career without compromise.
My ‘day job‘ currently has a more clinical nature running a Covid-19 rehabilitation programme alongside the training, development and quality assurance of a team of rehab specialists across the Midlands and Wales here in the UK. I’m also currently studying a degree in sport and exercise science.
Amongst the chaos I still make time for my passion of performance coaching and helping other ’mere mortals’ achieve their challenges.
