Alan Sparks   King University Cycling Head Coach

I am the head cycling coach at King University. I have been coaching collegiate cyclists for 13 years. I have experience in BMX, Mountain bike, Slalom, 4X, Downhill, Cyclocross and Road cycling. I have been racing bikes since 1979 and continue to do so when I have time between my full-time collegiate coaching job and coaching my private clients. I specialize in coaching cyclists early on in their racing careers and then help them find an advanced coach to coach them with their pro careers.

As a cycling coach, I enjoy helping clients learn and understand the training process and how to set and attain goals. I teach cyclists how to suffer on the bike and how that helps them reach set goals. We also use this to help with everyday's life experiences. A large part of training relies on mental toughness. I work with athletes to help strengthen their mindset which in turn aids the athlete in reaching his/her goals.

I am a licensed USA Cycling certified coach and also a PMBIA certified professional mountain bike instructor. I provide private lessons as well if you live in my area.
