I am a USAT Level II Endurance Coach, an Ironman Certified Coach, and an NSCA-CPT. I believe in developing well-rounded triathletes, and empowering my athletes to set and reach goals that require getting uncomfortable. I coach Kona qualifiers, 70.3 WC qualifiers, and anyone who wants to use triathlon to challenge themselves and find some meaning in their lives. I believe that it is my job to provide you with a road map for reaching your goals, and to be your teammate in the process.
My passion is coaching and racing long course triathlons. I played Division 1 lacrosse at the University of Connecticut, and then quickly made the switch to triathlon. I've qualified for world championships at each distance as well as competed in Kona, and my goal is to continue to challenge myself to become a faster, tougher, more humble athlete and coach.
I love coaching athletes of all ability levels, and I am endlessly inspired by my athletes.
Besides triathlon, my favorite things in life are animals (mostly dogs, not snakes), the ocean, and going to bed embarrassingly early. I'm into a lot of other sports and I enjoy drawing influence from coaches and athletes with different backgrounds. Even though triathlon is unique, I believe there are strategies and mindsets that cross disciplines and might help me open doors for myself and my athletes. It's all about finding out what works for you, based on how you connect with your sport and what you want out of it.
