My name is Fiona.
I have been a triathlon coach for over 25 years working with athletes from the UK and further afield. I have coached athletes on oil rigs, in the Navy whilst at sea, fire fighters working shifts. Each athlete is individual and that's what I love coaching.
I also work in Place Based areas around Leeds which involves taking activity based around swim, bike and run into areas of deprivation. My 25+ years as a level 3 coach, coach educator, mentor and assessor have helped in all aspects of my work.
As an athlete I have been very fortunate to have competed at the world champs for IM and IM 70.3, various multi day adventure races, cycle racing and Marathon des Sables and swim run events. I have also been a team member in various swim relays - 5 x English channel relays and a 2 way Catalina crossing.
Having a lifetime of competition behind me I can drawer upon a wealth of experiences, the good and not so good .. and some pretty painful.
As a coach I'm very happy to share my learnings from these great experiences to help athletes in their journeys.
I have also had my fair share of accidents, injuries and illness from which I can drawer upon more experiences and coping mechanisms and hopefully help you to avoid similar pitfalls.
