I am a USAT Level I Triathlon Coach focused on providing individualized training plans designed to help athletes meet and exceed their goals. After a thorough evaluation to gauge your event goals, current fitness level and potential limiters, I will create and prescribe a plan designed to assist you in reaching those goals while holding you accountable to the process of endurance training.
I became interested in the sport of triathlon while working towards my BS in Kinesiology at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. Having been a part of a team and participating in sports my entire life I suddenly felt a void after my freshman year of college. I had enjoyed running and swimming in high school and with the purchase of an entry level road bike during the summer of my freshmen year at college I decided to give triathlons a tri :-) I was fortunate that Cal Poly SLO had an excellent triathlon club at the time and after one season I was hooked.
Since crossing the finish line of my first triathlon back in 2002 I have continued on to complete over 50 triathlons ranging in distance from Super Sprint to XTERRA to Ironman. My racing accolades include dozens of age group podium finishes as well as three trips to the XTERRA World Championships in Maui, Hawaii.
“I am extremely excited and look forward to working with and watching every athlete set, work toward and achieve their personal goals; whether it’s swimming in open water for the first time or crossing the finish line for the hundredth.”
