Connor Coaching offers individualized one-on-one coaching for endurance athletes focused on cycling and triathlon. We bring 20 years worth of experience coaching, racing at a professional level, and team management.
The philosophy at Connor Coaching is "coaching with purpose." Meaning we don't create templated training plans. Instead we help our athletes define their goals and create individualized training plans focused on a purpose. Communication with our athletes is integral to this process.
Over the past two decades, I have been fortunate to experience all sides of the cycling, endurance, and nutrition/health world. From my own experience racing the professional circuit, managing teams, coaching athletes of all levels and writing for cycling and nutrition magazines, I bring a variety of knowledge and experience to all the athletes I coach. My experience includes:
Racing - I have raced in the pro peloton for nearly 20 years getting podiums at some of the largest races in North America.
Coaching - I started my coaching career working with the National Development program at Pacific Sport in Canada. From there I coached the Colorado State Cycling team to number 2 in the country and worked with several semi-pro and amateur teams throughout Canada and the US.
VeloNews - Since 2011, I have written the monthly training articles for VeloNews magazine and host a popular training podcast called "Fast Talk"
Team Management - from 2012-2014 I managed the top-ranked amateur team in America: Team Rio Grande. Alumni of the 14-year program include Tejay vanGarderen and Chad Haga. I continue to help and work with development teams throughout North America.
Nutrition - my Master's thresis advisor was Dr Loren Cordain the originator of the popular Paleo Diet. I now work as one of three members of his editorial board for The Paleo Diet website.
