Empowering Age-Group Athletes to Reach the World Stage

With decades of experience spanning elite international competition and foundational coaching education, I specialize in transforming dedicated age-group triathletes into high-performance competitors. My coaching focus centers on Olympic, 70.3, and Ironman distance racing, where I help athletes unlock their potential, hit personal records, and qualify for the most competitive starting lines in the world.

Proven Coaching Success

I believe in a structured, evidence-based approach to training that yields tangible results. I have had the privilege of guiding numerous athletes to the pinnacle of age-group racing, including:

  • Qualifications for multiple Age-Group National Teams.
  • Punching tickets to the Ironman 70.3 World Championships.
  • Securing slots for the Ironman World Championships.

Elite Athletic Pedigree

My coaching philosophy is deeply informed by my own career at the sharp end of the elite field. I know exactly what it takes to train, suffer, and execute at the highest levels of endurance sports.

Elite Runner: Raced highly competitive distances from the 1500m to the half-marathon, with personal bests of 30:28 in the 10km and 1:08:20 in the half-marathon.

Pro Duathlete: Raced as an Elite/Professional Duathlete in the 1990s, proudly representing Canada at multiple World Professional Championships.

A Pioneer in Coaching Education

I don’t just apply coaching principles—I helped establish the standard for them in Canada. I am proud to be one of the original creators and the editor of the very first Triathlon Canada National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) Level 1 coaching course. After developing the curriculum, I traveled across multiple Canadian provinces teaching the course and certifying the next generation of triathlon coaches.
