PB3 is a endurance and multi-sport squad coached by Nationally accredited Level 2 coach Chris Hanrahan, with almost 20 years coaching experience. The focus is on performance excellence in swim, bike and run. We coach goal oriented athletes looking to transition from good to great in endurance sports. Personalised programming with a focus on exercise science and constant feedback ensures that athletes striving for Ironman podiums, Kona qualifying or marathon best's get results they deserve.
Under the guidance of Head Coach Chris Hanrahan, pro triathlete Chris Kemp was, in 2013, crowned the Asia-Pacific 70.3 Champion and Australian 70.3 Champion. In 2014 he made a successful tilt on Ironman racing, finishing 8th at Ironman Melbourne in a time of 8:14 in a hugely competitive field.
Our athletes from all over the World continue to enjoy incredible success, qualifying for Ironman World Championships in Kona, 70.3 World Championships, ITU Worlds, and Xterra Worlds. We specialise in race plans for Australian races like Port Macquarie, Cairns and Busselton Ironmans plus many more stand alone events like the Boston and New York marathons!
Our coaching philosophy incorporates a blend of science with proven methods that are shown to work. All facets are covered in programming, including power and heart rate training, nutrition advice, bike fitting, running gait analysis as well as priority access to affiliated physios and massage and discounts on essential training and racing gear.
Chris has a proven track record with athletes at all levels from professionals to the person entering their first triathlon, whether you want to go to the world champs in Kona, or just complete your first sprint distance triathlon, the training principles are still the same. My philosophy is that results come first and foremost from hard work, careful planning and commitment from all parties. Combine this with consistent feedback and technical advice and the results will simply follow.
