The triathletes, cyclists, runners, and swimmers at CBCG are all bound by the same goal: become faster, happier, healthier people. It's an ethos shared by the coaches at CBCG, and nicely wrapped up in our motto: Go Fast, Have Fun, Be Nice. We think that keeping these three principles in sight at all time lead to strong performances and happier lives.
We work with all levels of athlete, from beginner to professional, believing that speed is not a virtue, and that development is our biggest goal.
Chris has been involved in education at almost every moment of his adult life, going back to his days as an environmental education teacher on the coast of Maine in the early 2000's. He has taught high school English, coached soccer teams, and run his own coaching business, now Chris Bagg Coaching Group, since 2011. He has raced as a professional triathlete since 2006, posting strong results around the world, capping those off with a 8:35 at the 2015 Challenge Roth. He serves as the director of the Swim Smooth squad at Nike World Headquarters and as Partner Coach for CBCG.
Molly Balfe has coached triathletes for over fifteen years, Ipsum Lorem Bacon. She co-owns CBCG with Chris, Ipsum Lorem Bacon
In terms of coaching, CBCG athletes excel at all distances and levels: sprint to Ultraman, beginner to professional. We are totally committed to building training programs that begin with the athlete's needs, talents, and schedule constraints. We listen more than we talk, and focus on working with an athlete, rather than just telling them what to do. It's this approach, we believe, that makes our athletes masterful, confident, and strong.
