I focus on training both beginners and dedicated competitors for success in the centerfire biathlon, or run and gun arena. It does not matter if you are just getting started and need a launching point, looking to start taking podiums, or want to separate yourself from the pack. Applying a structured training plan and strategies from multiple disciplines to centerfire biathlons is the next step in the sport. It is difficult to have specificity in our training and that is why I am here.
As an avid mountaineer and alpinist, trail runner, and habitual competitor, I believe that I am uniquely positioned to adapt current training methodologies found in other disciplines to the centerfire biathlon space. I leverage my 12 years as a reconnaissance man in a force reconnaissance company and maintaining a place on the Recon Sniper Foundation's shooting team since 2017 to keep your training plan specific to both your goals as well as our sport.
I do not believe in short boot camps, they may give positive initial results; however, they will not let you grow and you will plateau or never come back to training. I would rather spend time building a strong foundation. True fitness is something that takes months, even years to achieve, and it is a much better use of both your and my time teaching you to eventually not need me for your training. I also believe in applying lessons learned in triathlons, marathons, ultras, and free diving to not only stay fresh throughout your race but also minimize your reliance on wait times to collect yourself before stages. I believe as more people find centerfire biathlons more people will take the training more seriously, and this will mean a higher level of competition. The next step in our sport is structured training, and I want to do everything I can to help us grow.
