I'm currently studying for my British Triathlon Level 3 HPCP coaching qualification and having competed in triathlon since 2008, I qualified as a Triathlon Coach in 2015 and since then I have written training plans for a huge range of athletes, from complete novices up to experienced athletes and have had dozens of athletes compete at all distances from sprint up to and including Ironman.
Drawing from my experience of competing in many different sports over the years, for example, Golf, Karate, Rugby League and Union, competition hiking, white water kayaking etc, I feel that my years of experience in these other sports can be used positively and there are many facets of each that can be transferred to coaching triathlon. The sense of pride that I feel when seeing people surpass their expectations is huge and I love seeing them progress with their own individual journeys. I also really enjoy delving into sports psychology, where it’s fascinating to see how individual mindsets vary, and challenging the individual athletes way of thinking.
I specialise in writing programs for any level of athlete from complete novice up to and including Age Groupers.
