I am a British Triathlon Level 3 High Performing Coach and have been competing in triathlon and duathlon since 2008. I qualified as a British Triathlon Coach in 2015 and since then I have written training plans for dozens of athletes across a broad spectrum of abilities, from complete novices up to experienced athletes who have competed at all triathlon race distances from sprint up to and including Ironman.
Drawing from my experience of competing in many different sports over the years, for example, Golf, Karate, Rugby League and Union, competition hiking, white water kayaking etc, I feel that my years of experience in these other sports can be used positively and there are many facets of each that can be transferred to coaching triathlon. The sense of pride that I feel when seeing people surpass their expectations is huge and I love seeing them progress with their own individual journeys. I also really enjoy delving into sports psychology, where it’s fascinating to see how individual mindsets vary, and challenging the individual athletes way of thinking.
I specialise in writing programs for any level of athlete from complete novice up to and including Age Groupers.
