I have been fortunate to have a wide and varied sporting life with varying degrees of success, I rose from humble beginnings to become the Welsh Schools 400m Hurdle champion in 1988 to completing the holy grail of all ironman triathlons, racing in the World Ironman Championships in Kona, Hawaii in 2014 after finishing 2nd at Ironman Wales in 2013 and have an Ironman PB of 11 hours and 38 minutes including a marathon time of 3 hours and 36 minutes

My Mantra is, ''It is not just about the time you achieve on the day, but about the times you had along the way!'' Training and fitness should be fun, for almost thirty years I have lived by this mantra and along the way I have been lucky enough to hold Welsh and British championship titles, not only in athletics but also triathlon, duathlon and surf life saving. Thanks to sport I have travelled across the world and met many amazing athletes and coaches, learning new techniques and gleaning information from their ideals and philosophies.

Not only am I an able athlete, I have a degree in Physical Education and a host of National Governing Body coaching qualifications, including being a level 3 British Triathlon coach, level 2 ASA Swim teacher, level 2 British Cycling coach, Level 1 British Athletics Coach and SAQ trainer. I regularly attend CPD workshops and undertake further reading to ensure that I stay on top of new theories and practical application
