If your goal is to get fitter, improve your sportive times/distances, or if you want to start competing, I can help. You may want to improve your performance in time trial (TT), road, track, cyclocross (CX) or mountain bike (MTB) racing, or get faster on your triathlon/duathlon bike leg. I will work with you to understand your goals, conflicting pressures and time per week available. I will then write a training plan for you to follow with feedback as you progress. The rest is up to you!


I am an experienced cyclist taking part in road and off-road sportives, time trials, road and circuit/crit races, hill climbs, cyclocross and track. In time-trialling I have achieved World Championships AG qualification and national Open TT podiums. I am experienced in coaching athletes from beginner to national and international competition. I have coached endurance athletes for sportives/audaxes like l’Etape du Tour, Marmotte, Haute Route, Ride London, Fred Whitton Challenge, Dartmoor Classic, Coast to Coast and Ride Across Britain (RAB)/Land’s End to John O’Groats (LEJOG). On the racing side I coach athletes competing at regional and national level in road, criterium, track, TT, CX and MTB, including athletes from junior up to veterans of 60+ (all of which have different challenges). On the multisport side I’m also a seasoned coach of triathletes and duathletes competing at international AG level from supersprint to Ironman 70.3, both with and without an existing triathlon coach.

I have a scientific background, with a physics degree and PhD, so the numbers-based side of training, performance and analysis come naturally to me. I have immersed myself in athlete physiology, nutrition, power-based training and aerodynamics. I am also practiced in developing people over many years of management, consultancy and running my own business. I believe I can give you the benefit of my learning, qualifications and experience to help you get the most out of yourself as an athlete.
