Casey Arendt   Go the Distance Coaching

Coach Casey is a triathlon coach with expertise in swim technique development based in Austin, TX. Her client base is 35-55 year old women with a few years of triathlon experience who focus on improving their performance at the olympic distance and dabble at 70.3 racing. Currently Casey maintains a small number of private coaching clients who receive highly personalized training plans via Training Peaks.


Casey Arendt is a former academic scientist who became a USAT certified coach later in life. She has been coaching triathletes at beginner through intermediate levels since 2009 to sprint through Ironman finishes. Casey has been trained by Paul Newsome and Adam Young of Swim Smooth in swim video analysis methods, and recently became a Slow Twitch Certified Triathlon Swim Coach. She is data-focused, requiring training with GPS and recommending cycling (and running) with power. Her coaching philosophy is heavily influenced by Joe Friel and Jim Vance, with Jack Daniels and Matt Fitzgerald also figuring in. She believes that excellent technique, consistent interval training, and proper handling of work/family/training stress lead to success.

Services offered include: custom training plans and athlete contact (personal coaching), swim video analysis in Round Rock and Waco, TX, consultations, private swim lessons (adults and advanced teens only), group training at Northwest Family YMCA in Austin.
