I'm a remote-online self-taught, Cycling Canada and Training Peaks Level 2 Accredited Coach with Thomas Endurance Coaching and Plant Based Endurance Coaching specializing in ultra-endurance road cycling. My background in endurance sports began over a decade ago in soccer and xc-running leading to years in adventure sports such as rock climbing, downhill and AT skiing, snowshoeing, rock climbing, mountain ultra-marathon running, and mountaineering. I later took to cycling and with the support of colleagues who're ex-professional cyclists, I got involved in ultra-cycling. I have cycled across Canada unsupported and America supported in 25 and 17 days respectively, on a plant-based diet. I am the fastest vegan to bike across Canada and America.
My sacrifices to pursue endurance goals have impacted my coaching style to be supportive, visionary, and objective. I recognize that an important aspect of being a coach is respecting each athlete has a personal life.
I bring an objective science-based approach to my practice utilizing qualitative and quantitative data through TrainingPeaks, power meters, heart rate monitors, RPE, and individualized discussions to prescribe personalized workouts, training blocks, annual training plans, and measure progress.
In my off-time, I can be found reading, cooking, or enjoying time with my girlfriend or outside.
