I specialize in working with athletes who have a history of injuries and those who are interested in exploring the mind and body connection through training. Each athlete performs an online movement assessment to help develop their training plan, and I incorporate meditation and breathing techniques in to training.
I also offer a free monthly meditation class and occasional six week series on meditation and movement.
In my educational pursuits, I earned a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Georgia State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Religion with a minor in English from Ashland University in Ohio. I have also completed extensive graduate level education in exercise physiology at Ohio University. I have taken a variety of courses in meditation, exercise, and manual therapies. I am a certified USA Triathlon Coach and a certified personal trainer through NASM. I have also trained in craniosacral therapy, Realization Process meditation teaching, selective functional movement assessments (SFMA), running video analysis, muscle energy techniques, and dry needling. I’m looking forward to blending these experiences to support you on your health, wellness, and sports performance journeys.
In addition to coaching, I raced as an amateur for about 20 years. I competed in triathlon races ranging from sprint to IM distance and running races ranging from 5k to ultramarathons. More recently, I completed a thru hike of the Appalachian Trail and hiked the California section of the Pacific Crest Trail.
