Carrie has been working with endurance athletes since 2007 as a coach and since 2014 as a physical therapist. She has worked with athletes seeking performance goals in triathlon, running, and trail running as well as those who are returning to sport after an injury. Carrie has a unique perspective in blending science and an intuitive feel into her coaching and training plans.
In her educational pursuits, Carrie earned a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Georgia State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Religion with a minor in English from Ashland University in Ohio. She has also completed extensive graduate level education in exercise physiology at Ohio University. Carrie has also taken a variety of courses in meditation, exercise, and manual therapies. She is a certified USA Triathlon Coach and a certified personal trainer through NASM. Carrie has also trained in craniosacral therapy, Realization Process meditation teaching, selective functional movement assessments (SFMA), running video analysis, muscle energy techniques, and dry needling. She enjoys blending these experiences to support you on your health, wellness, and sports performance journeys.
In addition to coaching, Carrie raced as an amateur for about 20 years. She has competed in triathlon races ranging from sprint to IM distance and running races ranging from 5k to ultramarathons. More recently, she completed a thru hike of the Appalachian Trail and hiked the California section of the Pacific Crest Trail.
Carrie and her dog Taj are currently living, working, and traveling in a converted Ram Promaster Van. She offers in person and telehealth physical therapy and movement assessment sessions, group events, and online coaching and training.
